Memorial Scholarship Fund
Mrs. Shong Wong, Founding Treasurer of Hong Kong Association of University Women, passed away in Hong Kong on 19 February 2016, at the age of ninety-seven. Julia and Betty remembered her as a very warm-hearted and kind lady who always carried a smile on her face. A private memorial service hosted by Shong’s children was held on 9 March 2016 at Shong’s apartment. It was attended by family members, friends of all ages, former colleagues and students of Professor Wong, Shong’s deceased husband who was professor of mathematics at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) for over thirty years. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to HKAUW’s ‘Shong Lin Bow Wong Memorial Scholarship Fund’.
