2016 Scholarship Presentation and Christmas Dinner

A total of 50 members and guests shared the joy at HKAUW’s 2016 Scholarship Presentation & Christmas Dinner, which was successfully held on 17 December at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Staff Club. Ms Julia Woo, Acting President, delivered her welcoming speech and kicked off the event. 12 Scholarships were awarded to 4 postgraduates and 8 undergraduates in recognition of not only their achievements in academic studies but also their contributions to the community through voluntary services (please refer to self-introductions by the scholarship recipients). Alexandra Ridgway gave a vote of thanks to HKAUW and the donors on behalf of the scholarship recipients. For sharing, Alexandra, along with Fiona Chu, also shared their life vision and experience of community services. After the buffet dinner, at which guests had the opportunity of getting to know one another, the 2016 Scholarship Presentation & Christmas Dinner was concluded with a group photo.
