Membership Features

Hong Kong Association of University Women (HKAUW) is a non-profit organization of women graduates and university students, who have actively promoted lifelong education in order to improve the status of women and girls, and to enable women to effect positive change for a peaceful, sustainable future since 1957 in Hong Kong. HKAUW is a registered NGO and affiliated with Graduate Women International (GWI), previously known as the International Federation of University Women (IFUW). It has members worldwide, all working together to improve the status of women. The mission of HKAUW is to:

• promote higher education among women

• develop friendship among women university graduates

• exchange ideas and information outside the confines of a single discipline

• encourage and help women take active roles in community service

• update women graduates on issues of interest outside their own field of study
